Safeguarding

We take the care of all God’s people seriously at St Dunstan’s.
St Dunstan’s is committed to implementing the House of Bishops’ safeguarding policies  and good practice guidance, and Safeguarding is a regular item on our PCC Meetings. We follow the guidance from the Diocese of Rochester, and national church and, in line with the guidance, all people working with children, young people or vulnerable adults are safely recruited, have undergone appropriate training and are DBS checked.
Safeguarding information is displayed in our church, where all worship and activities take place, and on this page.

Safeguarding procedures have changed over time, and we now have robust procedures to address behaviours that were never acceptable and are still unacceptable. if you believe that you have been the victim, even if it was years ago, please report it. this is called “historic allegation of abuse”. If it involves a member of the clergy (a priest, Vicar, Rector or Deacon), please contact the Diocesan Safeguarding officer – Mrs Janice Keen or Mr Greg Barry – by phone (01634 56000) or email (Janice.keen@rochester.anglican.org)

If you, or someone you are concerned about is in immediate danger, please call 999 now.

What are you giving up for Lent

This year Lent starts on Wednesday 6th March (Ash Wednesday). Lent is traditionally a time to give up something (sweets and chocolate are often popular). Or maybe you would like to try and give up something more profound permanently….

This year we are running a “Lent in Reverse’ project. This is about giving up some of the things we do not see – the junk which drags us down and holds us back. If you come along to the service on 24th February at West Peckham, you can find out more…..

Baptism of Aurora! This Sunday we gather to joyfully celebrate Aurora’s arrival and to baptise her into the Christian church. Join us at 11am in the beautiful church of West Peckham, as we gather around the font that has stood in this church for centuries.
