The Church’s safeguarding procedures are more robust than they have ever been, and all PCC members and clergy are now trained in safeguarding procedures. You and us are aware that some individuals and leaders of the past have behaved in a far from honourable way. That was never right.  It should not be hidden.  there are now very clear procedures both for reporting and for acting on these historic allegations – events that may have happened last month or 20 years ago or more.  Don’t feel you have to keep quiet. Find someone to talk to.
