Today we leave Jerusalem, and head out to Nazareth in Galilee. A busy town, noisy and bustling, where Jesus spent his chikdhood and adolescence. We visit Sephoris, one of the more recent archaelogical finds, and the capital of Galilee in Jesus’ time. The discovery of Sephoris has rocked what was known or assumed about the time of Jesus. Sephoris has shown that the culture affecting Jesus was far more sophisticated and urban than previously thought possible.
